Statement on the Importance of Youth Inclusion in Climate Security Discussions

As climate change continues to exacerbate resource conflicts across the Sahel and other vulnerable regions, Building Blocks for Peace Foundation calls for the meaningful inclusion of young people in climate security policy frameworks. Young people are disproportionately affected by the intersection of climate change and conflict, yet their voices remain largely absent from the policy discussions that shape responses to these challenges. We urge governments and international organizations to actively engage youth in developing and implementing climate security strategies.
